Not settling!

Wow! Lisa and I have been in Inverenss now for 72 days (10 weeks) and I look at all God has done and is doing. When we chose the motto, "Vision Driven. Fueled by Prayer", we had no idea how true that statement would be.

We have faced financial issues, travel issues, and even the loss of a loved one while on this mission. Yet, we can see God's mighty hand all over us and our mission. It was a month ago God spoke to my (Russ) heart and said, "You need to be you." Meaning, I was playing it safe. God reminded me that I was not created to play it safe.

Strategic, wise, and timely, yes. Not safe. So, we declared that the enemy has been served his eviction notice. He is no longer welcome in Scotland! He's got to go. The people of Scotland belong to the Lord!

Since that day, we have moved forward with Gathering Place. That's right, the Gathering Place is picking up momentum. We had our first interest meeting a few weeks ago with eleven people. We have thirteen registered for the meeting on the 28th of March, and we are already seeing traffic on our third meeting on the 8th of April.

We are starting to train our future leaders and attendees beginning April 10th and 11th as we conduct our first of many Chazown classes as part of our Journey Series.

How can you pray for us? Glad you asked! We are still facing a £380/$500 a month deficit that we have seen God fill every month through amazing people! Our home in Vero Beach still hasn't sold or rented. Either at this point would be a blessing. We are still looking for permanent housing in Inverness. (Major shortage here!) Gathering Place and the people God is calling.
