Russ Weaver
Hi, I’m Russ Weaver. I was born and raised in a low-income area of Sacramento, CA, where I was surrounded by violence, drugs, and alcohol - an everyday reality that shaped my early life. Joining the U.S. Navy provided an escape from that environment, but I still found myself behind bars for a short period of time later on. It wasn't until I gave my life to Jesus that my life was turned around.
Since then, I have had the privilege of serving in a variety of roles: Firefighter/Chaplain, Youth Pastor, Small Groups Leader, Small Groups Coach, Men’s Ministry Leader, Safety Team Member, Medical Team Member, and much more. I have a passion for all things Jesus, Scotland, and music. One of my favorite ministry values is: "We will do anything short of sin to reach people for Jesus. To reach people no one is reaching, we will do things no one else is doing."

It has been just about a year since we launched this site, and I was asked by our web designer to submit something about myself. Ironically, I have spent years learning to be humble and not talk about myself. So when I was asked to submit something, it felt counterintuitive. However, since then, I have come to realize the importance of this process.
​
So, who is Russ really? I am simply a servant of the Lord Jesus. This past year, 2025, I have completely given my life to the Lord. Lisa and I have sold our business, left our jobs, sold our belongings, all to "Follow Him". We are fulfilling our commission to love and serve. Not just Scotland, but to be Ambassadors of the Lord Jesus everywhere we go. We are not called to "fix" people, but rather to just love them. To meet people right where they are.

For technical purposes, I hold an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Western Washington University with a minor in Communication, and a BS in Psychology from Chico State University. I also hold a BS in Biblical Studies from Trinity Life Bible College and a non-accredited completion in Theology from Liberty University.

My gifting is encouragement, leadership, and prophecy. Although prophecy is something I am still getting used to.

Lisa Weaver
Hi, I’m Lisa Weaver, a coffee-loving bookworm with a passion for travel and a heart that yearns to see Scotland and the rest of the UK on fire with zeal for God. I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home and attend a Christian school from Junior High thru High School. I also had the privilege of graduating from one of the top Bible Colleges in California, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Ministerial Studies.
With over 35 years of ministry experience, I've had the joy of serving in various roles - from working in the nursery to leading small groups and everything in between. When I’m not ministering, you'll find me hunting for treasures in local charity shops, trying out new recipes, or at a coffeehouse, lost in a great book. One of my favorite ministry values is: "We will laugh loud, hard and often – nothing is more fun than serving God with the people you love!"
