God Is Moving in the Highlands

"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine..." — Ephesians 3:20

As I sit down to write this update, I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude. There are moments when Lisa and I simply look at each other and ask, "We get to do this?" Not because the work is easy, but because it is such a privilege to witness God moving in the lives of people throughout the Highlands of Scotland.

Over the past few weeks, we have seen God continue to open doors that only He could open.

Gathering Place Continues to Grow

What began as a simple vision and a step of faith has become a thriving community of people seeking Jesus together. Every Saturday evening, people from various backgrounds and walks of life gather at Green Drive Hall in Inverness to worship, learn, pray, and experience authentic Christian community.

Some come with a strong faith background. Others arrive carrying questions, doubts, hurts, and burdens. Yet week after week, we see God meeting people exactly where they are.

The atmosphere has been one of genuine connection. People are finding not just a church service, but a place where they belong. A place where they can be known, loved, and encouraged.

Lives Are Being Changed

One of the greatest joys of ministry is watching God transform lives.

Since arriving in Scotland just a few months ago, we have now witnessed more than 130 people make decisions to follow Jesus Christ. Every single one of those decisions represents a life changed forever and a story that God is still writing.

Beyond salvations, we continue to hear testimonies of healing, restoration, answered prayer, and renewed hope. Families are reconnecting. People who had drifted from faith are finding their way back to Jesus. Others are discovering Him for the very first time.

These are not statistics. These are sons and daughters whom God loves deeply.

Building Relationships Across the Highlands

Much of ministry happens far beyond the walls of a church gathering.

Over the past several weeks, countless conversations have taken place in coffee shops, homes, community spaces, and around dinner tables. We have been blessed to connect with people from many different backgrounds and denominations who share a heart for seeing Scotland experience spiritual renewal.

We continue to build relationships with local pastors, ministry leaders, and community members who desire to see the Kingdom of God advance throughout the Highlands.

Revival has never been about one church. It has always been about God's people working together for His glory.

A Growing Prayer Movement

Our monthly "Pray for Inverness & Highlands" gatherings continue to gain momentum.

What started as a simple call to prayer has become a growing movement of believers from different churches and backgrounds coming together to seek God for their city and region.

We believe prayer changes things.

We have seen increasing unity among believers, fresh encouragement among church leaders, and a growing expectation that God desires to do something significant throughout the Highlands. While many people said, "That won't work here," God continues to remind us that He is not limited by our expectations.

Looking Ahead

As we look toward the coming months, our hearts are filled with anticipation.

Gathering Place continues to develop and grow. New outreach opportunities are emerging. Ministry partnerships are strengthening. Plans are being made for future events, discipleship opportunities, and community engagement.

Most importantly, people continue to meet Jesus.

We remain committed to the mission God has given us: reaching people, making disciples, building relationships, and helping people discover that faith is not about religion—it is about a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Thank You

To every person who prays, gives, encourages, and stands with us—you are part of every life that is being impacted.

Your support is not simply helping fund a ministry. It is helping advance the Gospel in a place where many have never personally encountered the love and grace of Jesus.

Thank you for believing in what God is doing in Scotland.

Please continue praying for:

  • Salvations and transformed lives.

  • The continued growth of Gathering Place.

  • Unity among churches throughout the Highlands.

  • Open doors for outreach and discipleship.

  • Strength, wisdom, and provision for our family and ministry.

The best way to summarize these past few weeks is simple:

God is moving.

And we believe the best is yet to come.

Blessings,

Russ & Lisa Weaver
